The web is meant to be horizontal
Web page layout is horizontal. Remember that the next time you go to take someone's photo with your cellphone. I know you've been using Snapchat and TikTok for years and those are vertically based. Yes, yes, I get it. But trust me when I say web layout is horizontal.
Here's a shot of me that one of you took of me. The photo of me is fine, but look at all the wasted space, from the ceiling tiles to the desktop.If your photo is has wrap-around text, you suddenly need more words just to cover the extra and unnecessary size of the photo.
Zooming with your feet is important, as I said the other day. But so too holding your phone horizontally.
What would happen if we took the same photo and cropped it, turning it from a verticle to a horizontal?
